Son and grandson of photographers, Bernat Gasull works as a biologist and is a lover of mountaineering, nature and travelling. He has published Les ascensions de Verdaguer al Pirineu (Cossetània, 2008). His passion for hiking is also one of the main characters in his fiction work Viatge a l'illa dels pingüins(Voliana, 2013).
