Laia Prat Garcia writes fiction and poetry. In 2015 she received the Ciutat d'Igualada Joan Llacuna Poetry Prize for her first collection of poems, Al revers del tapís (Vienna, 2016), and in 2017 she received the Sant Narcís Prize of Girona for the collection of short stories Coses que passen (Curbet Edicions, 2017). She has also been part of Bones confitures, the first anthology of short stories in Catalan, by Jordi Masó (Témenos, 2019). In 2022, with Bestiari (Edicions 1984) she won the Ventura Ametller Poetry Prize. She has participated in several recitals.
