Úrsula Llibres is an independent publishing house founded in 2013. We are a team of professionals with longstanding ties to the worlds of art, images, writing and publishing. Art, architecture and landscape, as well as literature and critical thought, are at the heart of the books we publish. We value being a small, collaborative firm, working independently from the constraints of the mainstream market. Our particular expertise lies in image-led books. We approach them with care and attention at every stage of the process, from the initial conception of a project through design and image editing, all the way to the printing itself. We believe that the quality of an image book depends on this meticulous attention to detail; that is why we personally oversee production on press, working side by side with the printer to fine-tune colour, density and image reproduction as the book takes shape at the printing press. We still believe in the book as an object, and in the breadth of the window onto the world that opens through its pages. With each and every one of our books, we seek the collaboration and creative engagement of the authors, photographers and designers.
