SLOPER - PUBLISHERS

Sloper was founded in 2007 as a natural evolution of La Bolsa de Pipas, an underground literary magazine established in Mallorca in 1994. Our press has always had a strong commitment to discovering new voices, particularly in Spain, while remaining equally interested in publishing writers with long-established careers. We are drawn to distinctive, author-driven literature rather than books dictated by purely commercial considerations — though, naturally, we do our best to keep the press healthy and profitable. "La Noche Polar" is our main series, with room for just about everything: poetry, short stories, novels, essays… Sloper is also home to Isla Elefante, an imprint devoted exclusively to poetry.
