Our publishing house was born in 1989. Through French translations we had "discovered" Moroccan, Algerian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Turkish, Iranian, Greek literature ... for which, in those years, the Spanish edition showed no interest. The few works that appeared in our bookstores were mainly due to the efforts of university professors and intellectuals, such as Juan Goytisolo. If the presence of creative works was scarce, that of essays by authors from the other shores of the Mediterranean and beyond was almost nonexistent. Welcoming those voices was the origin of the various collections of our editorial fund.
