MOSAICS - PUBLISHERS

Mosaics is a small, independent publishing company based in Barcelona, specialising in literature for children and young adults that can be enjoyed by the whole family. It was founded in 2014.

Mosaics aims to publish books that will last, books that engage their readers and encourage them to think for themselves. We publish very high-quality books for children aged from 3 to 14. Books like «Hold On to your Hat, Mrs. Jensen», a charming story that combines the everyday life of an old woman, with engaging accessible fantasy; «The star sower» by prolific author Rodolfo del Hoyo about the loss of a parent; and «The mistery of the letters» by winning writer Eulàlia Canal, short and poetic tale about the origin of the writing.

Making well-designed physical books is really important to us. We think carefully about covers, paper type and paper weight so that our books are attractive to look at and pleasing to hold. Mosaics’ books are also produced locally and using recycled materials.

Mosaics believes also in the importance of oral storytelling and organises a range of activities that encourage reading, including storytelling activities and workshops based on our books and the themes we feature.
