La Tortuga Búlgara was born from the need to give a voice in Spanish to less widely known literature and languages. Although we have a special connection to contemporary Bulgarian literature, we also include other Slavic and Eastern European languages, as well as Spanish-speaking authors. Our poetry editions are bilingual, staying true to the author’s voice and original tone while enriching the experience of bilingual readers.
