Mario de los Santos > "Noche que te vas, dame la mano" and the voracious characters

In many genres and works, the story slides down the characters just like it could slide down any other person. However, when the character eats up the story, digests it, and receives its nourishment, we usually come up with the term “novel of characters”. When and how does a character become the only one able to tell the story? In which type of stories can this magic happen?
